Respecting Residents’ Time

One of the simplest ways to build trust in local government is to respect people’s time.

Whether someone is applying for a building permit, reporting a pothole, asking a planning question, or requesting information, they deserve to know when they can expect a response.

I believe Town Hall should establish clear service standards for the services residents use every day. These standards would set reasonable response times and allow Council and the public to see how well the Town is meeting them.

Good customer service isn’t about answering every request immediately. It’s about being responsive, communicating clearly, and following through.

Residents should never wonder if their email disappeared into a black hole.

Government works best when it is accessible, accountable, and respectful of the people it serves.

Strong communities begin with trust, and trust begins with good service.
